The TCRT5000 Infrared Reflective Optical Sensor is a reflective optical sensor designed for detecting objects or changes in surface color and proximity. It consists of an infrared LED and a phototransistor, which work together to detect reflected infrared light from a surface. When an object is placed in front of the sensor, the amount of infrared light reflected back to the sensor changes, allowing it to detect the presence or absence of the object.
